Stretch wrap or stretch film is a highly stretchable plastic film that is wrapped around items. The elastic recovery keeps the items tightly bound. It is frequently used to unitize pallet loads but also may be used for bundling smaller items. Types of stretch film include bundling stretch film, hand stretch film, extended core stretch film and machine stretch film.
Our stretch wrap features superior break strength, cling, clarity, tear resistance not found in other stretch film. Extruded or cast polyethylene stretch film and stretch wrap is available depending on your stretch film need.

Product Types
Bundling stretch film
Stretch film between 1-5 inches is commonly referred to as bundling film or banding film. Companies often use bundling stretch wrap in place of tape to keep items bundled together. Bundling film is also great for stabilizing smaller product loads.
We offer bundling stretch film in a variety of sizes and widths. The width of the film is often a preference for users, sometimes a specific width is needed to form fit a product. The thickness is often more important than the width of the film.
Hand stretch film
Products are optimally secured to the pallet with hand stretch film (also called hand pallet wrap) – both for internal transport and on their way to the customer. Outstanding adhesion properties on the inner side of the pallet wrap ensure secure bonding and therefore stability. The exterior is smooth, thus preventing wrap from pallets sticking to each other. This feature is particularly important for a smooth loading process.
All the stretch wrapping – no matter whether transparent, black or coloured – is highly resistant to punctures and tearing and has enormous retention forces. They are also optimized to use the least amount of material possible. They consist of 100% PE, without addition of PIB. This makes them environmentally-friendly and easy to recycle.
Extended core stretch film
Stretchtape’s extended core stretch film is ready to use directly out of the box and doesn’t require separate dispensers, handles, or a machine. This easy-to-use stretch film is manufactured with an elongated or extended cardboard core which acts as a ready-to-use handle for each roll. Our extended core films come with either one- or two-sided sturdy core extensions, making them ideal for portable packaging needs.
Machine stretch film
Machine stretch film often refers to the length of the stretch film roll. Machine stretch film rolls are commonly available in 5,000 ft. to 9,000 ft. rolls opposed to 1500 ft. hand stretch film rolls. Widths of machine stretch film generally start at 20 inches wide and increase up to 80 or more inches wide. The standard core size to fit most stretch wrap machines is 3 inches.
Machine stretch film is ideal for medium to large scale operations intending to wrap products quickly and efficiently.
